Nowadays, automaps are commonplace and many identify "stuck points" that require players to find some kind of item, solve a puzzle, or complete a specific quest to pass.
Many game puzzles become "stuck points," where the player cannot proceed without solving the puzzle (and if they cannot solve it, they are stuck).
